BOXED UP COLLECTOR’S EDITIONS AND FIRST FUNKY BOOK SIGNING !

    Hi Guys

Well I completed my first set of workshops and book signings on Sunday 22nd November at The Passion Cafe in San Pedro (Spain) which was great though a bit strange and crazy getting back into all that stuff !

Was all a bit frenetic leading up to it as we decided to design a bespoke wooden box to house the first 6 books created by our wood magician Dave and turned into an ‘artwork’ by yours truly with decorative metal corners, old fashioned ribbon and our family seal in traditional red sealing wax - so the end result did look quite cool and authentic - even though I say so myself (for those who know me well, they are more than aware of just how picky I am about things - it has to be perfect or near as damn it otherwise I get really stroppy !)

Anyway quite a few boxed sets were bought on the day and the rest of the book sales were really, really very encouraging.

The creative workshops went brilliantly as well with the kids coming up with some fabulous characters and it was lovely to meet all of them.  Also I’d like to say thanks to Malcolm (who owns The Passion Cafe) and his staff for everything - they provided lovely little home made cakes, Christmas chocolates and miniature plates of hot savouries for the children - all of which looked wonderful.

As ever Robert, Dawn and Stuart were there to support me as was my incredible daughter Isabella who always helps to keep me calm when I get stressed (which is a lot of the time - too much hyperactive energy !)

So it has been nice having a slightly quieter couple of days - no less busy I hasten to add as Usbourne Books have asked to see my work (which is great news) PLUS have been chatting with a film producer friend of ours in LA about “The Twelve Quests” and he says he’s interested PLUS have been speaking to Edward at YouWriteOn about the possibility of doing a short story competition for children with the winners entries being published by them - he’s thinking about it now - but I think this would be really exciting.

We are also now planning various creative workshops at local schools - so if you would like me to come to your school (the Andalucia region in Spain only at the moment I’m afraid) then call Robert on 671 90 24 43 or get your teacher to email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) - it’s a FREE workshop focussing on creative writing and art with readings and personal one to one time spent with each participating pupil and myself.
So if you would like to meet a published author and for me to help YOU get started on your writing career with fun and exciting tips then contact us by phone, e-mail (as above) or via the website !

    All the best
    Ana
