The Enchanted Harp
It was 1849 and times were as bad as rotting fish for most people, but an awful lot worse for ten year old twins Albert and Florrie Leadington because whilst most children enjoyed fairly happy carefree existences, the twins had had the bad luck of a hundred smashed mirrors. After making a deadly deal with the vindictive Madame Divitan, a witch who had cursed their parents, the children have been challenged to complete twelve deadly quests if they are ever to be reunited with their family again. Accompanied only by the hapless Arthur Canarthy and a smuggler by the name of Ebenezer Smythe, they have narrowly escaped being murdered more times than you or I have had hot dinners. Aside from the murderous Bluebeard, the cannibalistic Gudrun and almost being buried alive there had also been blood thirsty werewolves, ghouls and stone statue assassins to contend with - so as you can imagine life had hardly been a bundle of fun for them especially as they found themselves in Warsaw searching for the firebird's feather and their guardians had just been publically executed...
As usual the Leadington twins' lives were not going to get any easier - quite the opposite - as unbeknownst to them vampires and a mad inventor were about to cross their paths.
