The Pied Piper’s Flute
It was 1849 and in Victorian London times were as miserable as sin for most people, but far worse for ten year old twins Albert and Florrie Leadington. After being rescued from Mrs. Snagglesnarle's dreadful orphanage by their reluctant new guardian Mr. Arthur Canarthy, they discover their parents aren't actually dead but have been cursed. It is a spell that cannot be broken unless they complete twelve deadly quests within the year and though they have successfully achieved the first two quests it has almost cost the children their lives. Even with the help of Ebenezer Smythe and his magic compass, their journey to foreign lands is overshadowed by dark sorcery. Having already escaped the clutches of the bloodthirsty Bluebeard, followed by a cannibalistic witch named Gudrun and her terrifying dragon husband, they still have ten more terrible missions to undertake, their third challenge being to find the infamous 'Pied Piper's Flute' - unfortunately even worse seemed to be about to befall them as it looked as if Ebenezer Smythe was about to be shot by a group of unfriendly gypsies...Turn the page if you dare but be warned this tale is no picnic in the park (indeed I would not wish the troubles and woes that are stalking this most unfortunate group on my worst enemy!)
'An imaginative and captivating read sure to rekindle many a parents childhood memories with great fondness as well as inspiring the younger readers about the joys of literacy. These stories are guaranteed their place on the family bookshelf for many generations to come!'
